Eliminate Racism

It’s a fact: Racism still exists. And for as long as it exists, we’ll be helping our community understand, challenge, and eliminate it. We foster opportunities to engage in open dialogue about race, racism, and race relations—giving groups and individuals the training and support they need to address these topics in their lives and communities.

The YWCA has been working to eliminate racism for more than a century, however, too few people are aware of this commitment. The YWCA USA brand calls on every YWCA to enrich its services by working to eliminate racism within the context of its own community needs.

That might mean preparing children to enter and prosper in a multicultural world, or directing work to eliminate racism in its community. Lifting up people of every race will create the bright, promising future we want to pass on.
