Today we focus on one volunteer, Mary Michaels.
Mary Michaels
Mary is the Government Relations Director for the American Heart Association in South Dakota. In her role, she helps to build healthier lives free from cardiovascular disease and stroke by advocating for positive policy changes.
Mary has a long history with the YWCA. Although she is very busy with her family and career, she always finds time to volunteer. She has served two terms (six years) as a YWCA Board member, six years on the YWCA marketing committee, was a past YWCA Volunteer of the Year, served 15 years on the YWCA LeaderLuncheon/Tribute to Women committee and chaired the committee five of those years. Mary's son attended the YWCA childcare center.
If her free time she is involved with Harvey Dunn Elementary PTA, serves as room parent, and is involved in music ministry for St. Michael Catholic Church.
Anyone that has ever met Mary knows that she is a ball of energy. She is always on the move and never says no to volunteering at the YWCA. We say thank you to Mary Michael's who has made the YWCA a better place for all those that enter our doors.
