Two Preschool Classes
Ages three - six
We know that all children learn in different ways and at different paces. KinderCollege utilizes a custom created, literacy-based, teacher-directed curriculum that focuses on HOW children learn instead of how fast. KinderCollege provides parents a different alternative for developing and advancing their child’s learning.
The curriculum is organized into theme-based units that address complex topics that encourage preschool children to develop their skills and confidence. Each unit incorporates language, math, science, creative arts, music, motor skills and social development.
Also included is curriculum for developing life skills in etiquette, foreign languages, and physical fitness. Children will participate in field trips, swim lessons, taekwondo, yoga, dance and age-appropriate fitness activities for added learning experiences at no additional cost. All of this is offered in a nurturing environment that allows each child the opportunity to grow and excel.
The KinderCollege day begins at 8:00a.m. and ends at 3:00p.m. with before school care (6:00a.m. to 8:00a.m.) and after school care (3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.) available at no additional cost.
Two levels of classes
KinderCollege - 4 & 5 years of age (will attend kindergarten next year)
This section is for children who are one year away from kindergarten. It is not a prerequisite to have attended Junior KinderCollege before entering KinderCollege. The curriculum is expanded by adding a more in-depth focus on literacy. Each lesson begins with a story and all activities are centered around that story. Children will have the opportunity to use their multiple intelligences to navigate their way through activities. This will enable the child to be exposed to math, science, language and fine/gross motor skills.
This section is for children who are at least three years old and will attend kindergarten in two years. Children in Junior KinderCollege are engaged in a valuable play-based learning environment guided by a certified teacher. Instruction is inquiry based, meaning children are finding answers to their questions driven by the teacher. We understand that each child who begins Junior KinderCollege will come in with different abilities. They will work one on one with their teacher at the level best suited for them.
