It’s a Great Big World
Continuing with the Frog Street curriculum, our three year olds focus on shapes and colors. Using music and movement children learn to recognize, match and name ten basic colors and eight basic shapes. You will be amazed that by the end of the year they will even be able to SPELL those shapes and colors!
Daily activities including circle time, large group instruction, guided play centers and one on one learning time enhance their preschool experience. In addition, three year olds begin taking field trips away from the center. These trips coordinate with the room’s lesson plans and allow children to more thoroughly explore their world. Parents are welcome and encouraged to be a part of these fun outings away from the center.
Organized gym time becomes a part of the three year old curriculum. Teachers plan games and activities that help children practice hopping, balancing, catching, throwing and doing somersaults.
