Over 500 Girls Participate in Our Program Each Year
Welcome to an awesome and life-changing program for young girls! Led by volunteer coaches, girls in the 6th through 8th use running as a tool to learn that they can accomplish anything.
Girls on the Run came to Sioux Falls and the YWCA in 2005. As we served over 2000 elementary school girls with the Girls on the Run program, it became apparent that there was an even greater need to support girls in middle school. This fall 2011, with a United Way Community Impact Grant, we are piloting Girls on Track in four middle schools.
The middle school program allows for more mature processing around certain topics including eating disorders, internet safety, cyber bullying and tobacco/alcohol use.
To volunteer to coach this program or receive more information contact the Girls on Track Coordinator at (605) 336-3660 or email info@ywca-sf.org.

Spring Girls on the Run and Girls on Track 5k is Saturday, May 5 at Yankton Trail Park. Check back for more information.
