Swimming Lessons
Group Session Fee:
$45.00 for members
$52.00 for non-members
Sessions are 8 classes at the Downtown YWCA.
All lessons will be held on Saturdays,
EIght week sessions for each level:
Summer Session Options:
Summer Saturday morning sessions
8 classes Saturday mornings June 5-July 31
(no class July 3) or
Summer evening sessions
8 classes Tuesday and Thursday evenings
July 6-July 29
Fall session
8 classes Saturday mornings Sept. 18-Nov. 6

Parent-Child Level One and Level Two
Level 1 and 2 is for youngsters six months to 3 yrs old, with an adult.
Class is limited to 12 students.
Saturdays 9:00 to 9:30 am
Tues/Thurs evenings 6:00 to 6:30 pm
Children 4 to 5 yrs old, with swim experience.
Class is limited to 6 students.
Saturdays 9:00 to 9:30 am

Preschool Level Two
Children 4 to 5 yrs old, with swim experience.
Class is limited to 6 students.
Saturdays 9:40 am to 10:10 am

Preschool Level Three
Must first complete Preschool lessons, Children 4 to 5 yrs old. Class limited to 6 students.
Class is limited to 6 students.

Tues/Thurs evenings 6:30 to 7:00 pm or 8:00 to 8:30 pm
Level One - Introduction to Water Skills
Learn front and back floats and kicks, and front crawl stroke.
Learn safe practices around the water.

Level 1 & 2 Combo 12:20-12:50 pm
Tues/Thurs evenings 7:00 to 7:30 pm or
Level 1 & 2 Combo 8:00 to 8:30 pm
Level Two - Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Float and recover without support, learn front and back crawl strokes
Self-help and basic resue skills will also be covered.
Saturdays 10:20-10:50 am or
Level 1 & 2 Combo 12:20-12:50 pm
Tues/Thurs evenings 7:00 to 7:30 pm or
Level Three - Stoke Development
Build on Level Two skills. Coordinate front and back crawl. Introduce elements of butterfly and treading water. Safety for head-first entries.
Saturdays 11-11:30 am
Tues/Thurs evenings 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Level Four - Stroke Improvement
Introduction of the elementary backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke and elements of side stroke. Work on distance swimming. Basic turns will also be covered.

Tues/Thurs evenings 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Level Five - Stroke Refinement
Coordination of all the strokes will be covered and increase endurance. Flip turns on front and back will also be covered.
Saturdays 11:40 am to 12:10 pm
Tues/Thurs evenings 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Level Six - Swimming and Skill Proficiency
Refine strokes so students will with ease and efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances.

Adult Swim Lessons
Learn to swim and accomplish your own aquatic goals.

Private Swim Lessons
Many families find the flexibility of private lessons to be a good fit with their busy schedules.
Private Lessons: One-on-one instruction during four,
30-minute lessons.
Fee: $55/member and $65/non-member
Semi-Private Lessons: Lessons with two students to one instructor during four, 30-minute lessons.
Fee: $80/member and $92/non-member
