Before School Care
Students will have the opportunity to get last minute help with homework, socialize with friends, have breakfast and enjoy some leisure time.
After School Care
After school care is provided at the YWCA South. K-5th graders who all three Harrisburg schools, John Harris, Harvey Dunn, Pettigrew, Oscar Howe, John F. Kennedy, Jefferson, Discovery, and St. Michael's can ride the YWCA South bus to the center for enrichment activities, gym time and an after school snack. Time is also set aside for students with homework so that evenings can be spent with family.
We teach students with hands-on projects, such as art, gym games, sewing, community service projects, group activities, special actitivities, science, math, reading, socializing and help with homework. Although daily activities are not mandatory, we encourage students to explore different areas every day in their choices.A healthy snack an juice are served daily.
